Directions to park: From Fayetteville go across 19 on route 16. Follow 16 for about 6 miles to a small bridge over the New River. Immediately after the bridge is a Pull-Off for the Cotton Hill Rec Area. Park there and follow signs for Hawks Nest Dam. (approx. 0.7 miles)
