Directions to park: From Walla Walla, go west on highway 12 to Wallula Jct. Change onto Highway 730 for two mi. The Twin Sisters are a double-towered formation on left with interpretive sign. Also, quality routes behind these formations on distant cliffs. Good climbing below basalt pillar. Endless cliffs along roadside overlooking the mighty Columbia River feature short bands of sound rock. |

Bureau of Land Management/Private -Closed Not enforced.
As of Early March 2001, Twin Sisters, which is on Walla Walla County Land,
has been posted "No Rock Climbing" By the Walla Walla County
Comissioners. Enforcement and fines are not known at this time. The closure
probably does not apply to nearby cliffs on BLM lands. |
