Directions to park: From downtown Spokane get on I-90 going east. Immediately be prepared to exit at Exit 282, The Trent Ave. Hamilton St. Exit. Follow Hamilton St. north about .5 miles to Mission St. and take a right. Go east for a few blocks to the railroad crossing and then take a left on Upriver Drive. Follow Upriver Drive for 3.3 miles along the Spokane River to a stop sign. The rock will now be in view. Take a right at the stop sign and go east for .1 mile and park in the parking lot or in the dirt pullout before the parking lot. Minnehaha is no longer Minnehaha. There is a sign in the parking lot dubbing it, 'John H. Shields Park,' so don't be worried if you thought this was the wrong set of cliffs.
