Directions to park: From Stowe go 8.5 miles north on highway 108 to the peak of Smugglers Notch. Park at the stone caretaker's house. Boulders there. Quartz Crack Buttress is straight up on the south side of the notch. Elephant head Buttress (boudering as well) is on the north side of the notch as you go down towards Stowe. |
