Directions to park: Lake Mineral Wells State Park and Trailway is located 4 miles east of Mineral Wells on US Highway 180 or 14 miles west of Weatherford on US Highway 180 , following park signs. Signs in park give directions to the rock formations. You must sign in at the park.

 

Campsites:

  • Campgrounds located inside park. Ranging from sites w/ picnic tables and public Bathrooms to the rustic sites. 31 sites with water. 77 sites with water & electricity 15 Screened Shelters. Weekend reservations are recommended

Important Links:  
Climbing: Top Rope, Bouldering - Hazards: The rock is a type of sandstone that is much rougher than most climbing areas. After a rain the park closes the climbing area since the rock becomes to brittle and will fall off in large chunks. So call in advance.
