Directions to park: From Keystone, drive up highway 244 behind MT. Rushmore Monument. Head west past the visitor center on highway 244 for one minute until you see George Washington's nose profile... After another 2 minutes, around the presidents back and past the no climbing boundary, is Emancipation Rockphormation. Another few minutes and you'll hit the main areas: Middle Marker, Monster, and South Seas. There are also several parking areas. Check at the NPS at Mount Rushmore for more details. Ethics are listed on climber registration boards. No power drills with out a permit. With a permit they are only to be used for maintenance. Routes rated from 5.6-5.12 are abundant and .13a and above are around but few and far between. Mostly a sport climbing area with mixed routes available.
