Directions to park: At the junction of Highway 115 & Highway 49, go North then West on Highway 49, 6 miles to Indiahoma Road. Go South past Ranger Headquarters, continue South then West to Post Oak Lake turnoff. Go North just past bridge w/barriers and park on Right side of road in turnouts (2), hike back to the South end of bridge barriers. Look for 2 painted arrows on West side, follow trail West, up creekbed into canyon, look for large cave on right (Spanish Cave). The Aid area is on you're upper left. (South side of Canyon) scramble up slabs to crevasse and routes. Total approach time 30 min. Go anytime, No gate to wait on...
The routes here are around 50' in height (short,but committing) bring plenty of Scream-Aids for added safety...The Meat Locker (crevasse) has 9 aid-routes in the shade for those 100 degree days. Guidebook is helpful in locating the routes (see below). Most routes have gone CLEAN. But not all of em... There is a free guidebook (.jpegs)available for the asking to this area.
