Directions to park: There are several areas to climb at the Gunks these are the main directions to free camping and main parking areas. Take I-87 to exit 18, (New Paltz Exit). Head west on 299 through town and to a right turn onto 44/55. Follow this road up hill to parking areas.

Camp-sites:

• Free Capming in the public use area just before 44/55 on 299.
• Free camping just off road on left after second parking area, near overhead foot bridge. (14 Day Limit)
