Directions to park: From Albuquerque, east of town via La Luz Trail approaches. Torreno, Muralla Grande, and The Shield should be approached from the Sandia Crest. From Parking, go directly down to the limestone band for Torreon and several other formations. The most prominent formations include: Shield, Needle, Muralla Grande, Yataghan, and The Thumb. |
