Directions to park: From Las Cruces, go east on highway 82 for about 5 miles. Turn north on Jornada Del Muerto Road (look for Jornada Experimental Station signs) to Dona Ana Peak (about 6.5 miles). At rock pillar and USDA sign, turn west for about 2 miles to north side of peak for parking and camping. There are boulders and cliff scattered around and on top of the peaks. The most obvious areas is checkerboard to the east, visible during the drive in. The best way to access it is from the back side. There is bouldering and routes around the camp grounds. The climbing is peaceful and remote.
