Directions to park: From Fallon, take Interstate 50 East to Middlegate. Turn south (right) onto SR 361 and drive approximately 26 miles to NV mile marker #13 (2 miles north of SR 844). Turn left onto a dirt road. A sturdy vehicle or 4x4 is recommended. Follow this road for 2 miles until another dirt road appears on the left. Peel off onto this smaller dirt road and follow it to roads end. DO NOT proceed any further beyond the small "parking" spot on the left. The area is an abandon mining claim and the road is treacherous above. A cairn marks the direction of travel (northeast) and proceeds up the boulder strewn hillside. Continue to follow cairns to the ridge line. There are several large boulders scattered along the ridge and beyond. |

Commentary Provided by Dave Daly
The biggest boulder on the high point of the ridge has two problems done on it ('Yebechai'; V2 and 'Death Of A Gunfighter'; V4). When visiting the area, keep a low profile. Access is still questionable. Bring water since there is no water source nearby. The closest town for supplies is Gabbs. One can climb here almost year round and the rock is user friendly (soft grain monoquarztite and patina).
