Directions to park: Marquette Areas:

  • Sugarloaf: From Marquette, go north out of town on highway 550 a few miles until a sigh entitled MT. Sugrloaf. Park on the right in a pull off. Hike east up a dirt trail about 10 minutes to limited 40' rock bands.
  • Triple A Rock
  • Presque Isle Park: North Marquette. ALong the Lakeshore Blvd. Drive the lop in the park to the east side pullouts. Rock can be found on the east to northeast aspect of the isle at lakeside. Lots of bouldering and roped climbing.
  • Mount Marquette: From Marquette, head out of town on Country Road 553 past ski area to a radio tower on left, about 10 minute drive. Turn left on dirt toad leading to radio tower. Drive 50 yards past tower and park. A trail on left leads up to cliff, about 5 minutes. 100 yard long cliff about 80 feet long of hard quartzite.
  • Palmer Cliffs: North East Palmer. Turn right on the first road going north out of Palmer. Drive to top of road which takes you to the top of the cliff. A short hike gets one to the rock. More inf at Down River Sports in Marquette. Good cliff with leads and topropes on solid quartzite.
