Directions to park: From Strawberry point go 5 miles south west of highway 410, following the state park signs. Areas in Backbone are:

  • North of the main picnic area
  • Middle of the park
  • North side of Makoquoketa River

Many areas exist here. Load up your pack and explore around the park. Killer bouldering is abundant
