Directions to park: From Carbondale, go 12 miles south on highway 51 past yellow happy-faced tower to Giant City State Park. Park at 1st cliff, Makanda Bluff, on the left by pavilion. This is the best cliff in the area. There are several sandstone cliffs and boulders in the park. |
