Directions to park: The cliffs are not actually in the single bar, single gas station, town of Laclede. The cliffs are two miles west of the town of Laclede on Highway 2. From Sandpoint they are 12 miles west on Highway two. To get there from downtown Spokane get on Division Street and drive north to the Division 'Y'. Take Highway 2, The Newport Highway, and not Highway 395. You will be on Highway 2 for 55 miles which is the approximate distance to the crags from the 'Y'. You'll pass through the town of Newport in about 40 miles and 12 miles later you'll pass through the town of Priest River. Keep on Highway 2 for about 3 miles more during which time you'll come to a huge section of road cut on your left, with the Pend Oreille River on your right. At the end of this road cut will be the second pullout. The first pullout is about a half mile west of the second. If you actually get to the town of Laclede, you've gone too far.
