Glenwood Springs/No Name/Pukes, CO
|
|
Directions to park: Just east of Glenwood Springs on I-70. Take the No Name exit. Turn left at stop sign, go straight to access No Name Canyon. Or, turn left again, get back on I-70, head west for about 1/2 mile. If coming west, into Glenwood, exit No Name. Turn right at stop sign after exit to hit No Name. Go straight to hit the Pukes. Look for pullout just before the tunnel. Park there. You'll the see the crag on your right. This is the Pukes. No Name has several good cracks in the 5.7 - 5.11 range. Mainly trad area. But good anchors for top ropes too. Watch for loose rock. I've pulled off big chunks before. Pukes is mainly sport on limestone, mostly 5.8 - 5.12. Good bolts and anchors. Although very noisy being right on I-70. |
